"It is all about the clouds", is what you will most likely hear if you ask Mr. Livingston where the spectacular skyscapes originate. Certainly other forms and images-mostly from nature-enter Al's work. The use of the oil-on-canvas media combination rounds out Al Livingston's style.
Al Livingston, Navajo, has a studio in Calhan, El Paso County, Colorado. Mr. Livingston was born in Gallup, New Mexico, and grew up in the northern mountains of Bread Springs (southeast of Gallup). His interest in art started during his secondary education, and continued through his college years and beyond. His passion is landscapes and skyscapes influenced by the Navajo Nation and surrounding lands and from his travels near and far.
